Color profiles, known as ICC or ICM files, contain settings data that can let you recalibrate how the colors appear on your monitor. This is helpful if you need a more exact match between the colors on the monitor with a particular device – e.g., camera, printer, scanner – or if you simply want enhanced color display.
We’ve provided custom .icm files for our monitors to help you get the best colors out of your VIOTEK monitors. Installing them on Windows or Mac is a simple, easy process.
Install Custom ICC on Windows 7/10
- Go to VIOTEK.com ICC profile page and locate your specific VIOTEK monitor model.
Your VIOTEK model number can be found near the I/O and power ports on the back of the monitor. - Download the appropriate ICC profile matching your VIOTEK model number.
- Click on the arrow in the download bar and select “Show in folder.”
(Alternatively, you can manually navigate to the downloaded ICC file’s folder location.) - Right-click on the desired color profile and select “Install profile.” This will load the selected color profile into your color management options.
- Go to Color Management in your windows settings by typing “color management” into the Windows search bar and selecting it on the list. (Or open Start and search for “Color Management.”)
- In Color Management, select the “Devices” tab (this is the default tab). Select your VIOTEK® monitor from the drop-down list.
Important: If you have a multi-monitor setup, all monitors connected will appear in this list. You must select a color profile individually for each of your specific monitors in a multi-monitor setup. - Click the “Use my settings for this device” option.
- Click the “Add” button in the lower left-hand corner of the “Devices” box. (If the button is grayed out, you need to enable the checkbox from Step 7).
- Select the color profile matching your VIOTEK monitor model and click “OK”.
- [Optional] If you have a multi-monitor setup consisting of the same model of VIOTEK monitors (e.g., two GNV27DB connected to the same PC), it is recommended to set your custom color profile as the default color profile. To do this simply ensure your VIOTEK® ICC profile is highlighted and select “Set as Default Profile” in the Color Management. The color profile will have the “(default)” tag, confirming the custom ICC profile is now the default color profile.
Your color profile should start working immediately. If not, restart your PC. The custom color profile should load at startup.
To verify your default color profile is loading correctly, go back to Color Management and select your VIOTEK monitor from the drop-down box. The selected ICC profile should be listed under “ICC profiles” when you select the appropriate device from the drop-down menu.
Reminder: If you have multiple VIOTEK monitors, you will need to select a color profile for each monitor individually. (You can load a single ICC file for multiple monitors.)
Reset the Color Profile on Windows 7/10
If you want to revert the changes, you can use these steps to reset your monitor settings to the default color profile:
- Open Start.
- Search for Color Management and click the top result to open the experience.
- Click the “Devices” tab.
- Click the “Profile” button.
- Use the “Device” drop-down menu and select the VIOTEK monitor that you want to reset.
- Select the “Reset my settings to the system defaults” option.
Install Custom ICC on MacOS

Your VIOTEK model number can be found near the I/O and power ports on the back of the monitor. - Download the appropriate ICC profile matching your VIOTEK model number.

- Open the MacOS ColorSync Utility by pressing Command and Space at the same time and typing “colorsync” into the search box and pressing Enter.
(Alternatively, you can manually navigate to ColorSync by opening Finder and following the navigation path “Finder > Applications > Utilities > ColorSync Utility.”) - In the ColorSync Utility menu, navigate to “Displays.” Click the arrow to show the possible options.
- Select your VIOTEK monitor from the list under displays.
- Click the arrow next to “Current Profile” and select “Other.”
- Browse to the color profile downloaded in Step 2. This file will be in your default locations for downloaded files unless you selected another location.
- Double-click the custom Color profile from Step 2.
- The color profile should result in an immediate color change.
Note: The color change may not be immediately noticeable if the default color profile is similar to the custom color profile.
You can verify your customer color profile by opening the ColorSync Utility (as in Step 4), selecting “Display” (as in Step 5), then selecting your VIOTEK Monitor (as in step 6) and verifying your custom color profile is listed under “Current Profile.”
Reminder: If you have multiple VIOTEK monitors, you will need to select a color profile for each monitor individually. (You can load a single ICC file for multiple monitors.)
Reset the Color Profile on MacOS
If you want to revert the changes, you can use these steps to reset your monitor settings to the default color profile:
- Navigate to System Preferences.
- Select “Displays.”
- Select “Colors.” You will see a list of profiles. The one highlighted is the current color profile.
- Click on the default profile so that it is highlighted.
